About us
The resturant originally started as L & B Corner Market in 1974 by fourth generation natives, Bertha Lizarraga and her husband Luis. Their small grocery store sold a variety of goods.. Living in the back of the building, Luis and Bertha built their business selling groceries and goods as well as homemade Mexican food.
Because demand was so great for their food, Bertha and Luis turned the market into a restaurant one meal at a time. Eventually they passed the restaurant, now LB Cantina, to their daughter Olivia, her husband Charlie, and their grandson. The trio expanded the restaurant by adding dining space and the beautiful patio that so many enjoy today.
In 2014, new onership brought a fresh, updated look while keeping the restaurant's culinary legacy alive. We pride ourselves on continuing the tradition of serving authentic Sonoran cusine. We still use recipes that Berthas's great-great grandmother used to feed the Butterfield Stage Coach as it passed through Florence in the mid-1800s. We have an outstanding staff that includes dedicated individuals who have worked in the restaurant for over 30 years.
On any given day the Lizzarraga family can be spotted dining at LB Cantina reminding us of the tradition we are responsible for - that you can always count on.
Chef Patrick Listo
For over 35 years Patrick has been a mainstay at LB Cantina. Starting as a prep cook and working his way up to Chef/Kitchen manager, Patrick is responsible for your meals having the same great taste and flavor every time you visit. All our sauces and meats are prepared by Patrick and must pass his inspection before they can be served.
Patrick is a true professional who takes great pride in his craft and has made it his and his staffs mission to make sure quality is the number one priority at LB Cantina. In addition to his culinary skills, Patrick is a gifted artist whose talent is visible throughout the restaurant. Patrick looks forward to you enjoying your dining experience at LB Cantina.

Not a day goes by at LB Cantina without customers telling us how great their server was. It is a compliment that makes our hearts sing. You will find our servers very knowledgeable about our food and helpful in answering your questions on how it is prepared. They are attentive and will make you feel as though you are family. Our staff is professional and we consider ourselves a Yes-traurant and will do whatever we can to make your dining experience enjoyable.
